🍁 In the Northwoods near Grand Rapids, two friends turned a spring hobby into a Minnesota maple syrup tradition. Patrick Mathias of Minnesota Made: Mathias Maple Syrup and Wild Rice was already seasoned in the art of syrup-making when he invited his friend Ben Bostaph — now of Master's Maples — to join him one spring. What began as “just making syrup for family and friends” soon flowed into every season of their lives. “A hobby turned into a passion; and now, that passion is expanding across Minnesota,” Ben says.
