We’ve set an ambitious goal for 2026: We’re recruiting Democrats to run against EVERY SINGLE Republican congressional and state legislative incumbent in 2026.
That’s right — we’re helping 100 everyday Texans who decided to step up and fight for their communities. In order to make sure they all get on the ballot, we are paying for their filing fees. The filing deadline is December 8th, and we need to raise enough money to make sure every candidate makes it onto the ballot.
Here at Texas Majority HQ, our goal is simple and unapologetic: to flip Texas blue and win as many down ballot seats for Democrats as possible. The first step towards getting the job done is ensuring we have Democrats challenging Republicans in every place on the ballot.
Covering filing fees might sound small compared to running TV ads and hiring an army of organizers, but we can’t beat Republicans if we don’t run Democrats against them.
It’ll cost around $50,000 to help launch these 100 campaigns. And the next moves will cost even more — from training staff, to building a ground game, to contacting and mobilizing voters.
