Dear Friends,
Each day brings more disheartening news as New Deal-era buildings and artworks are being sold off and programs to improve the lives of all Americans are dismantled.
For twenty years the Living New Deal has been teaching about what our nation achieved during the Great Depression to underscore the values the New Deal stood for—public service, accountability and social responsibility, and to remind people that there is an alternative to what our government has become.
We’re documenting the New Deal’s impact—when Americans came together in hard times to rebuild infrastructure, reform the economy, resist fascism and restore hope. It’s a time that this administration and its “culture warriors” want us to forget.
Despite losing a substantial federal NEH grant, all of our educational resources and expertise remain free to the public. With your support, we will continue to provide timely programs; curate a network of New Deal experts and activists; and introduce people to what the New Deal once did and could be done again to help all Americans prosper.
We are, as ever, grateful for your generosity when so much is at stake. Thank you for your continued support.
We are a 501c3 organization. Donations are tax deductible.
