Hi John. Pramila here with a quick but important update on our partnership with White Center Food Bank, where I had the chance to volunteer this week and see firsthand the impact your support is making.
Just days ago, we surpassed our original goal and set a new one — to raise $9,000 and provide 3,600 meals for families in need before Thanksgiving. And as always, this team showed up.
We’ve now raised more than $6,400 for the White Center Food Bank, enough to provide over 2,500 meals to families in need.
But our work isn’t done yet. Food banks here in Seattle and across the country are still overwhelmed. And even if the shutdown ends tonight, Republicans have slashed long-term SNAP funding. The need won’t disappear — and neither can we.
That’s why we need one last push from this team to raise the final $2,600 needed to hit our $9,000 goal and provide 3,600 meals before Thanksgiving.
This is what our movement is about: showing up with compassion and urgency when our government fails to. While Trump and MAGA Republicans continue to play games with people’s lives, you are helping deliver something real in the face of cruelty and abandonment — nourishment, dignity, and hope.
For families facing hunger, each meal represents one less thing to worry about, one more day with food on the table, and a little more security in a time of deep uncertainty. That’s the difference your support is making.
So thank you for being a part of this work and helping us meet this moment. Again and again, you remind me why I believe so deeply in people-powered change — and in the truth that compassion and community are stronger than cruelty and indifference.
