I’m an optimist by nature. When the sky is gray, I’m
looking for those little rays of sunshine peeking through the clouds.

Well, this has been a stormy year for Maryland families, which is why I’m
delighted to have some good news to celebrate!

With all results in from last Tuesday's election, Americans reminded
Donald Trump who’s really in charge. Democrats: 

* Won double-digit victories in Virginia and New Jersey’s gubernatorial
races
* Flipped at least 13 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates
* Held three seats on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court
* Flipped two seats on Georgia's Public Service Commission
* Flipped two state Senate seats in Mississippi, breaking the GOP
supermajority

We won bigger victories than we did in 2017, during Trump’s first term.
That’s a reason for hope. 

Let’s let these wins energize us for the fights ahead.
