Mitch is running his same-old playbook against us. Here’s why it’s not going to work.

Stop the presses, team.

Mitch McConnell is back on TV with a nasty new attack ad against me.

I won’t waste time telling you what you already know: Mitch needs Kentucky voters to believe that I’m someone I’m not. And he’s going to spend millions upon millions of dollars trying to get something—anything—to stick.

Look, this is the playbook he knows how to run: Smear your opponent, and if it doesn’t work right away: Just… keep… spending.

The problem is Mitch has never run against someone like me, and he’s certainly never faced a grassroots team like ours. We’re not going to let his attacks go unanswered. We’re not going to let Mitch gloss over his own record and pretend he’s ever put the people of Kentucky ahead of his own interests.

And that, friends, is going to come as a real shock to Mitch.

In his commercials, he likes to point out that I don’t look or sound like a career politician. That’s OK—I’ll happily put the 89 combat missions I flew as a Marine up against the 35 years Mitch has spent splashing around in the D.C. swamp.

From here until November 3rd, our job is to tell voters the truth about who I am and who Mitch is. Chip in today—and let’s get to work.

Thank you,

Amy
