We can demand a tax system that is fair for everyone.

Friend,

Right now, essential services — like education, healthcare, and crisis response resources — are threatened by impending federal funding cuts. Meanwhile, the wealthiest Pennsylvanians and big corporations are using loopholes to avoid paying their fair share in taxes.

This is unfair, and it’s why I joined lawmakers, unions, and statewide organizations in the Pennsylvanians for Accountability from Yass, Billionaires, and Corporations (PAYBAC) coalition to announce the "Tax Billionaires, Fund PA" plan. This new revenue plan would close corporate tax loopholes, pass a digital ads tax on tech giants, and tax billionaires like Jeff Yass on their income from stocks, trusts, and real estate.

Budgets are moral documents, and we should be ashamed of how much working people pay in Pennsylvania compared to billionaires who made their fortunes off of us! The vast majority of Pennsylvanians are one missed paycheck, one health crisis, or one major house repair away from needing assistance, but none of us are one paycheck away from being a billionaire.

It’s long past time to close the loopholes and raise the revenue Pennsylvania needs to take care of working families without further burdening them. Sign on to join me in telling Harrisburg: Tax Billionaires, Fund PA!

The billionaires and big corporations are counting on us to stay silent. But when we raise our voices together, we can demand a tax system that is fair for everyone.

Thank you,

Lindsey Williams
