First: Republicans kept the government shut down for weeks because they refuse to lower health care costs.

Then: They released a proposal to reopen the government that does nothing to prevent millions of Americans’ healthcare premiums from skyrocketing by protecting Medicaid cuts and letting ACA subsidies expire.

Now: We are about to face higher bills and lost coverage. My constituents and people across the nation can’t afford these cuts.

John, I’m a no.

I will not stop fighting to ensure that folks don’t have to choose between having healthcare, putting food on their table, and paying their rent or mortgage. We deserve better.
