Congress will vote to end the Muslim Ban.
Demand this win for our community and for the rights of all.
Dear Friend,
The time has finally come. Next Wednesday, July 22nd, the House of Representatives is planning a vote on the NO BAN Act to end the Muslim and African Ban.
If passed, this will be the first time in our nation’s 244-year history that a chamber of Congress has passed a civil rights bill to protect Muslims. It will reaffirm our conviction that America can be a place where people of all races and religions live free and equal lives. That is worth fighting for.
Will you tell your member of Congress to make history and pass the NO BAN Act?
Passing the NO BAN Act is more important now than ever. Trump is not only separating millions of American families during a time of crisis, he’s also banning thousands of medical professionals when our nation needs them the most. More than 100,000 medical professionals in the United States are from just two of the banned countries, and the ban has led to a 15% drop in new physicians from Muslim-majority countries.
Will you tell your member of Congress that we need more medical professionals, not less, and that’s why they must pass the NO BAN Act?
A broad coalition of communities has come together in support of the NO BAN Act with Muslim Advocates leading at every juncture of the congressional process—from calling for legislation, leading and mobilizing the NO BAN Act Coalition, and negotiating bill language, to recruiting over 200 House co-sponsors, testifying at hearings, and advocating with House Leadership for this vote.
Now we need to get this vote over the finish line. We can’t do it without your help and support.
Will you take action and encourage your friends and family to do the same?
Thank you so much. We will continue to keep you updated about this bill’s progress as the historic vote draws nearer.
Sincerely,
Naheed Qureshi
Deputy Director
Muslim Advocates
P.S. — Will you also help sustain this work? After this vote, we’ve got a long road ahead of us toward making the NO BAN Act the law of the land. We promised we wouldn’t stop fighting until millions of American families are reunited. We’re keeping our word. Please, make a donation so we can continue to protect your rights.
