Dear Mr. xxxxxx,

Veterans Cemetery Headstone Flag Planting

This past Saturday my family and I volunteered at the Texas State Cemetery, placing American flags at the gravesites of veterans in advance of Veterans Day. It was an opportunity to honor the men and women who served our nation and to teach the next generation gratitude for those who served.

We are immeasurably blessed to live in the United States of America, and we are blessed to have so many patriots who have fought for and continue to fight to defend her.

Happy Veteran’s Day!

Government Shutdown – an end in sight

Over seven weeks ago, House Republicans sent a clean continuing resolution to the Senate, where Senate Democrats voted against “reopening” the government over a dozen times. For 40 days, Senate Democrats held the people’s government hostage, federal employees missed two paychecks, air traffic controllers have been working overtime without support staff, and our nation’s public spaces have been closed. As of last night however, it appears there is an end in sight as the Senate voted to move forward on a deal to reopen the government.

I look forward to working with my House colleagues this week to ensure there is no further unnecessary delays. It’s time to get back to work.

As long as I am in Washington, I will fight for the values of my constituents and put the taxpayer first. Watch my interview with John Roberts on Fox News discussing the shutdown here.

Legislation to Eliminate the Tax-Exempt Status for Extremist Groups with Ties to Terrorist Organizations

Last week I introduced the No Tax-Exemptions for Terror Act. This legislation would eliminate the tax-exempt status for extremist groups with close ties to terrorist organizations, such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).

“It is absurd that the U.S. has provided organizations with ties to terrorism tax-exempt status in the U.S. – resulting in the American people inadvertently subsidizing terror against themselves. It is ridiculous, and we should have ended this long ago.”

“No organization should receive a tax benefit. For example, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) should immediately be stripped of their 501(c)(3) status. CAIR has ties with Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other extremist organizations that routinely use violence and commit horrific acts to advance their political agenda. CAIR's national Executive Director even praised Hamas' barbaric October 7th attacks against Israel. CAIR and other non-profits with ties to terrorism should immediately be stripped of their of their 501(c)(3) status.”

The No Tax-Exemptions for Terror Act can be read here and you can read the exclusive article here. Additionally, you can watch my interview with Glenn Beck discussing this further here.

Articles of Impeachment Against Rogue Judges

Last week, I joined Representative Brandon Gill (TX-26) in filling articles of impeachment against James E. Boasberg, Chief Judge, United States District Court for the District of Columbia, for his abuse of judicial authority used to target conservative Members of Congress, organizations, and patriotic Americans.

Judge Boasberg facilitated Special Counsel Jack Smith FBI’s project Arctic Frost, which spied on Republican Senators Marsha Blackburn, Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham, Bill Hagerty, Josh Hawley, Ron Johnson, Cynthia Lummis, Rick Scott, Dan Sullivan, Tommy Tuberville, and Representative Mike Kelly.
This follows the articles of impeachment I filed previously against U.S. District Judge Deborah L. Boardman of the District of Maryland for undermining federal law by sentencing Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh’s attempted assassin to a mere 8 years, in part due to her own partiality and biasness surrounding this man’s “gender identity”.

"Our nation’s judicial system is structured to administer proper and equal treatment under the law; it is not a system where a member of the Judiciary is to allow their personal feelings or political ideology to influence their decision-making”

Investigating Soros-funded ANTIFA groups

Last week, I joined House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) in demanding that the nonprofit liberal advocacy group Open Society Foundation and Alliance for Global Justice turn over documents related to alleged support of Antifa. These organizations are Soros-funded, radical left-wing financiers that consistently seek to promote civil unrest and undermine law and order.
Chairman Jordan and I are seeking communications, financial records, and internal policies from the Open Society Foundation and Alliance for Global Justice relating to their interactions with ANTIFA and terrorist groups. Our letter seeks to answer just how deeply the Soros-backed organizations have bankrolled hostile groups, such as ‘Refuse Fascism’, violent anti-police resistance organizations, Samidoun, a front group for a U.S.-designated Palestinian terrorist entity, and more.

“For years, Antifa terrorists have fomented and engaged in violence, ranging from nationwide riots to targeted attacks against those with whom they disagree… [and as such] Congress has an important interest in protecting Americans from political violence.”

Coverage and links to our letters can be found here.

Supreme Court Prevents Radical Gender Ideology from infecting Passports

Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld common sense by overturning a lower court in Massachusetts’ order, which barred the State Department from requiring an individual’s biological sex to be listed on their passport. This temporary Supreme Court ruling follows the content of H.R. 1139, the Passport Sanity Act, which I introduced earlier this year.

In their ruling, the Supreme Court ordered, “Displaying passport holders’ sex at birth no more offends equal protection principles than displaying their country of birth—in both cases, the Government is merely attesting to a historical fact without subjecting anyone to differential treatment.”

I am grateful for the Supreme Court’s attention to this issue and will continue to urge my colleagues in Congress to pass H.R. 1139, to enshrine common sense in our laws.

You can read coverage of the Supreme Court’s order here and the text of H.R. 1139 here.

Texas Amendment Preventing Illegal Alien Voting Passes

Last Tuesday, Texans voted overwhelmingly in support of Proposition 16, which amended the Texas State Constitution to ensure "persons who are not citizens of the United States" cannot vote in Texas. This Texas victory follows my fight in Congress to pass H.R. 22, the SAVE Act, which seeks to enshrine in federal law the same citizenship requirements for voting.

The SAVE Act has already passed the House of Representatives and is currently sitting in the Senate. After the shutdown, the Senate should immediately take action to ensure free and fair elections.

You can read the text of H.R. 22 here.

UT Silver Spurs Chili Cook Off

On Friday, I was proud to join Vince Young and UT President Davis in serving as judges for the UT Silver Spurs’ annual Chili Cook Off in Austin.

Teams from organizations across the University of Texas campus competed to gain the Title of "UT's Best Chili" and knock off last year's champs, ZBT. Although, that didn’t happen! My congratulations to Zeta Beta Tau (ZBT) on their delicious chili and for defending their title.

The Chili Cook Off is a UT tradition that raises money to support the Silver Spurs alumni association, the Neighborhood Longhorn Program, and the care of our beloved BEVO.

Good chili, great music, and an amazing time!
