As a West Point graduate and combat veteran, Veterans Day takes a higher meaning for Pat.

It’s about honoring the service and sacrifice of those who serve, but also about fighting for them. It’s about funding the VA, the Affordable Care Act, and SNAP, because a government spending trillions to send young people to fight shouldn’t be pinching pennies when they get home. And it’s about reclaiming patriotism from those who seek to undermine our democracy and our Constitution.

Last night, along with Rep. Chris Deluzio, Pat went on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart to talk about how the Trump Administration is failing our veterans, and how Democrats can claim a proud, patriotic path forward. You can watch their full interview here.
