[1]Juliana Stratton for Senate
Team,
It’s time for new leadership in the U.S. Senate.
On Sunday night, eight Senate Democrats caved to Donald Trump and his Republican allies. They voted for a continuing resolution that betrays the American people — one that will make healthcare unaffordable for millions of families and abandons the values and principles our party represents.
They took the easy way out.
Millions of Americans will see their premiums double and choose not to get the care they need — all because these Democrats thought standing firm was too uncomfortable.
But fighting for what’s right has never been easy — and it’s not supposed to be. Real leadership requires courage and conviction, especially when people’s lives are on the line.
This vote was a betrayal of working people. It was a calculated move to choose comfort over courage and another example of the failures of business as usual.
That’s why I’ve made it clear for months that I cannot support Senator Chuck Schumer as Leader.
We cannot keep sending and keeping people in Washington who fold the second things get hard. We need fighters — not folders. We need leaders who will unite our party around doing the right thing — leaders who will take on Trump and his MAGA extremists head-on, not negotiate away our values for political convenience.
That’s why I’m running for the U.S. Senate. To bring the fight Illinois families deserve to Washington — and to stand up for the people who’ve been ignored for far too long.
Right now, I'm up against two well-connected and D.C.-established opponents who have backed the same kind of “go along to get along” leadership for years that brought us to this moment. They’re standing by Chuck Schumer and the failures of the status quo.
We can’t afford this continuation of cowardice in Washington. So I need you with me to bring a new generation of leadership to Washington. What do you say, Joan?
If you’re done having Democrats who fold to Donald Trump represent you, chip in $50 right now to my campaign for U.S. Senate. Let’s send a message loud and clear: the future of our party belongs to fighters.

I’ll never walk away from this fight — not now, not ever.
