NOVEMBER 11, 2025

Dear Fourth District Constituent,

Please join me for a virtual update on Thursday, November 13th at 12:00pm CST about the Republican government shutdown and health care crisis.

I strongly oppose the Senate’s temporary government funding bill, because it does nothing to address the Republican health care and hunger crises. It is a bad deal for Americans. In fact, their bill cuts $18 billion more from SNAP, and fails to include any guardrails to prevent the Trump Administration from continuing their illegal and unconstitutional misuse of congressionally appropriated funds. I will vote no when the bill makes it to the House of Representatives.

In July, Republicans rushed to pass their One Big Ugly Law, which strips away health care and food assistance for millions of Americans. This Republican law created permanent tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires, fossil fuel producers, and other giant corporations, but they refused to pass even temporary tax credits that make health care more affordable for millions of Americans. If Republicans get their way and fail to extend these tax credits, MNsure expects premiums will increase by an average of 54% for nearly 90,000 Minnesotans, and over 19,000 will lose access to all financial help next year.

Please RSVP here by 5:00 PM Wednesday, November 12 to receive the Zoom link or watch the live stream on YouTube or Facebook. Your feedback is important. Together, we can stand up for a healthy future for all Minnesotans.

Sincerely,
