Friend,
Join us tomorrow, November 12, for an an insightful conversation on how we can organize to protect our communities and bring together movement organizations, the media, and philanthropy to keep us all safe. [[link removed]]
This year, we have witnessed a coordinated assault on democracy that puts us all at risk. From silencing dissent, ignoring the rule of law, deploying the National Guard, and targeting immigrants and communities of color, recent events have put into question the future of American democracy. How can our communities stand up and fight back against these threats? Where do we go from here?
Moderator and interim executive director of Advancement Project Carmen Daugherty will be joined by outgoing executive director Judith Browne Dianis, Mother Jones' national voting rights correspondent Ari Berman, and President of Democracy Fund Joe Goldman.

This conversation comes ahead of Judith receiving the Kettering Foundation Democracy Prize as one of two inaugural winners. This is a new international award honoring those who go beyond the ordinary to champion and defend inclusive democracy. In her time at Advancement Project, Judith has worked to thwart voter suppression, restore voting rights to people convicted of felonies, prevent the closure of polling locations and fight cuts to early voting.
We hope to see you there.
In Solidarity,
Advancement Project
