With Zohran Mamdani's generation-defining victory in the NYC Mayoral race, the Democratic Socialists of America have demonstrated that winning political power for the working class is not just our duty - it is our specialty. Your Memphis-Midsouth chapter has already begun building a winning political operation, just like the one that elected Mayor Mamdani in a landslide.
But we're missing something - YOU.
We need the voices, the insight, and the grit of our fellow Memphians who want to change the political reality of our city and our state. If you want:
- a Memphis that uplifts the working class instead of exploiting it
- leaders who broaden our city's horizons instead of miring our schools and public services in austerity
- a war against poverty and not against our neighbors
We have a world to win - but we need you to do it. Here's how you can start:
- Build your skills as a canvasser (the door-knocking difference that helped in making the Mamndani campaign a success) at our upcoming blitz in support of the Memphis Public Libraries - Workers Union
- Connect to our Electoral & Policy Committee through this link here and by attending our next meeting this Monday, Nov. 17 from 6-8 pm
