Veterans of every branch are choosing the ultimate act of public service. If I have the honor of serving in Congress, I’ll be fighting for housing and education benefits and healthcare coverage with more treatment options and shorter wait times for our veterans and their families. No one who was willing to give their lives for our country should be worrying about where their next meal will come from, or if they’ll have a roof over their heads.
Celebrations and thank yous are important – but the ultimate thank you is a Representative who will fight to make sure that their basic needs are met and who will fight to protect every American, just as our servicemembers have.
