** Criminal Intelligence:
How Organized Crime is Weaponizing AI
------------------------------------------------------------
Organized crime networks are no longer limited by traditional methods — they're rapidly adopting artificial intelligence to supercharge their operations. From deepfake-enabled fraud schemes and AI-generated phishing attacks to sophisticated money laundering and automated identity theft, criminal enterprises are exploiting the same technologies governments and businesses are racing to regulate.
This OCCRP Briefing brings together leading experts in digital forensics, financial crime, and governance to expose how AI is reshaping the criminal landscape — and what it means for those working to combat it.
Whether you're investigating financial fraud, building cybersecurity defenses, shaping policy responses, or tracking illicit networks, this session will equip you with critical intelligence on an emerging threat that's evolving faster than our safeguards. This briefing is essential for law enforcement professionals, private investigators, compliance officers, cybersecurity specialists, policymakers, and anyone working to understand and counter the next generation of organized crime.
