John,

I want to be honest with you. The GOP shutdown may soon be drawing to a close because of the Senate deal — but the GOP’s long-established history of hurting people is still fresh in our minds.

The fight is coming back to the House, and we need to be ready. The Senate did what the Senate did, and now Democrats in the House have to be prepared to stand strong for what we believe in.

For weeks, this GOP shutdown has been hurting people — real people that you know, that live in your neighborhood, that go to your kids’ schools.

Across Pennsylvania, families have been waiting to hear if their SNAP benefits will come through. Airports have fallen into complete chaos. Federal courts have slowed down. Housing assistance has been delayed. The most basic things a government is supposed to do — feed, serve, support — have been on pause because the GOP won’t govern.

Meanwhile, I’ve been showing up — meeting with constituents and attempting to still do the job I was elected to do, all while waiting 40-odd days for the GOP-led House to reconvene. Now, it’s go time.

This week, AZ Dem Rep. Grijalva should finally be sworn in, and a vote for the release of the Epstein Files should be on the move. We’ll also be fighting to ensure that the House GOP passes subsidies for ACA costs, as Americans are struggling with the high cost of living.

It’s go time in this fight, and I can’t do any of this without you. I’m grateful for any support you can show right now. [[link removed]]

We’re building a campaign to fight back against this GOP chaos — with service and action — and never with gimmicks. You’ve always stood with me when I’ve asked, and to be honest, John: I really need your help today.

We’ve set a goal to raise an additional $7,600 by the end of the day Wednesday to stay on track — and to send a message: We’re not backing down. Not from the chaos. Not from the cost. Will you chip in and help us meet our goal? [[link removed]]

Thanks for still believing in public service and in my leadership. It means more than you could ever know.
