Three steps to being...a better GOTV advocate

Just because you’re staying in doesn’t mean your learning should slow down! So, stay safe and take these steps to engage:

1. Learn: Check out the pflag.org/blog/get-out-vote-2020 to learn more about the countless resources available to help advocates like you get-out-the-vote (GOTV), in a nonpartisan way, so you can support all eligible voters who want to cast their ballot in November.
2. Watch: PFLAG Votes: Our Right and Responsibility is now available as a part of PFLAG Academy On Demand. You can also watch  the PFLAG Votes: Advocacy in 10 Minutes or Less video series  which includes videos on organizing voter registration drives and what to do if you run into issues on election day.
3. Share: Use social media to participate in PFLAG National’s “I’m voting because…” campaign. See below for details!

I'm voting because...

This one is so critical, we're sharing it again! Our PFLAG Votes campaign is a highly visible and shareable way to not only encourage people to vote but also make a plan to accomplish that task. Ready to take part? 

Step 1: Download your "I'm voting because..." card (PDF)

Step 2: Complete your card with one of the (501(c)3-compliant, nonpartisan) reasons you plan to vote.

Step 3: Get creative: Take a picture with your filled out card!

Step 4: Send your completed cards to [email protected] or post to your personal social media, and don't forget your hashtags. Try

• #PFLAGvotes; 
• #PFLAGproud; or
• #EqualityStartsWithMe.
