Hello John ,
The challenges facing Great Salt Lake demand science and policy, but they also require an engaged collective. That’s why we’re excited for you to join us for Weber Basin Water Talks [[link removed]] , a set of community conversations exploring how we can secure a healthy water future for the Weber Basin and Great Salt Lake. Gather with us this Wednesday, November 12th, 6–8:45 PM (doors at 6, panel at 6:30) in the Browning Theater, at Union Station in Ogden, UT. Dinner’s on us and will be provided by Lucky Slice Pizza.

This event is about bringing residents, experts, and decision-makers together to connect, build understanding, and strengthen our shared capacity to act.
The first hour, presented by Stewardship Utah, will explore what regional collaboration looks like in the Weber Basin, featuring Ogden Mayor Ben Nadolski, Weber Basin Water District Assistant Manager Darren Hess, and Representative Jill Koford (R, House District 10), and Utah Division of Water Resources Engineer Jake Serago . Together, we’ll discuss the intersection of growth, Great Salt Lake and water conservation, and how our community can move forward while balancing these competing demands.
In the second hour, presented by Grow the Flow , Dr. Ben Abbott and Dr. Kerry Kelly will discuss the growing impacts of Great Salt Lake dust and what it means for our health and future.
Come connect with us and help shape durable, community-driven water solutions .

As we gather to talk water, we’re also looking ahead to how our newly-elected local leadership shapes what’s next. Join our Post-Election Webinar [[link removed]] in one week on Tuesday, Nov. 18th and get a detailed breakdown of election results and what they mean for Utah’s future. Together with Stewardship Utah staff and some of our newly elected endorsed candidates like West Jordan City Council Member Elect Jessica Wignall, we’ll talk strategy, next steps, and how to keep building momentum in cities across the state.
