Today, we honor the brave men and women who have served our country in the military. Their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our freedoms represent the very best of who we are.

In every generation, veterans have answered the call to serve.  They have defended our democracy, supported their fellow Americans, and continue to strengthen our communities long after returning home. Here in Washington, we are proud to have so many veterans contributing to public service, leadership, and civic life across our state.

As Senate Democrats, we remain deeply committed to ensuring that Washington’s veterans and their families receive the care, respect, and support they have earned—from quality healthcare and housing to education and job opportunities.

This Veterans Day, we say thank you to all who have served, and to the families who have stood beside them. Your bravery continues to inspire our work every day.
