Today, we pause to honor the men and women who’ve worn the uniform and safeguarded our country with courage and conviction. From the Revolution to today, our nation’s story has been enduringly shaped by veterans—those who stood up when it mattered most and answered the call to serve, leaving an indelible mark on our history.

As a veteran who served 21 years in the U.S. Army—including three combat tours—I carry those lessons with me every day. This is not just a tribute, but a deeply personal expression of gratitude.

So today, I simply want to say: thank you.

To every veteran—and every family who has supported one, often from the home front—you have my deepest gratitude.
