We recently learned that Russia has reportedly offered bounties for killing American soldiers — but Donald Trump has yet to condemn Putin or take a single action to protect our troops.
Senator Duckworth published an op-ed on Trump’s failure of leadership, and we thought it was important enough to share with you today.
Trump should be outraged about these reports — and we should be outraged that he’s not.
Either Trump hasn’t been reading his intelligence briefings, or his intelligence officers have been withholding information that they don’t think Trump wants to hear. Ignorance is not an excuse for a Commander-in-Chief.
And it doesn’t explain why he’s done nothing in the 17 days since this report became public.
Senator Duckworth is right: Trump is a grave threat to our national security.
