Hi there,
Today is Veterans’ Day, and we want to take a moment to honor the service and sacrifice of Arizona's veterans.
More than 500,000 veterans call Arizona home — one of the largest veteran populations in the country. From Luke Air Force Base to Fort Huachuca, from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base to the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona has long been home to those who serve and have served our nation.
These veterans and their families are woven into the fabric of our communities. They're our neighbors, our teachers, our small business owners, and our public servants. Their service didn't end when they took off the uniform — they continue to contribute to Arizona's strength every single day.
Veterans' Day is about more than thanking those who served. It's about committing to support them with the same dedication they showed our country.
That means fighting for quality healthcare through the VA. It means ensuring veterans have access to good jobs and affordable housing. It means supporting military families who sacrifice alongside those who serve. And it means standing up when politicians try to cut benefits that veterans have earned.
Arizona Democrats are committed to supporting veterans and their families — not just with words, but with action. We believe those who served our country deserve leaders who will fight for them with the same courage they showed in defending our freedom.
To every veteran reading this: Thank you for your service. Your sacrifice makes our democracy possible.
Happy Veterans’ Day,
Arizona Democratic Party
