John,
Today is Veterans Day. As veterans lose access to life-saving services, I want to lift up All Things Women, a nonprofit providing housing, food, and community for women veterans and their families.
All Things Women has successfully moved hundreds of formerly unhoused veterans into permanent housing. This disrupts generational cycles of poverty.
This community-led nonprofit also sets unhoused and housing-insecure veterans up for success with job readiness and placement, free healthy food, clothing and resources, and mental health support.
Our government is failing veterans, and right now we need to step up to ensure groups like All Things Women can meet the growing need.
This Veterans Day, please contribute what you can so All Things Women can continue supporting women veterans with support, shelter, healing, housing, jobs, and community.
All Things Women Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization, and your donation will be tax-deductible.
All Things Women’s veteran-focused supports include:
-
Emergency Shelter: Safe, dignified, trauma-informed shelter with 24/7 operations and secure entry. Immediate safety planning, with hygiene kits and case management within 48 hours.
-
Housing Placement Assistance: Rapid connection to stable housing, landlord engagement, and support with deposits, documentation, and move-in essentials.
-
Mental Health Support: On-site and referral-based counseling, peer support circles, and warm handoffs to VA-adjacent and community behavioral health partners.
-
Workforce Development: Job readiness coaching, resume and interview prep, employer connections, and bridge supports (transportation, childcare coordination, uniforms).
-
Peer-to-Peer Support: Female-only groups where women Veterans feel seen, respected, and among other female Veterans with lived experience—creating a reliable community of support and accountability.
Every year, they also support 120 women veterans in need at a resource fair with community partners, including on-the-spot benefits screening and housing triage, and a peer-circle mini-session. Like the group’s longer-term services, these sessions help reduce isolation among women veterans.
Please chip in $5 or more to help All Things Women house, feed, and support unhoused women veterans.
Thank you for standing up for veterans’ rights today. Together we’ll keep fighting for a government and country that treats veterans with the respect and dignity they deserve.
With you in the fight for better,
Rashida

John,
Tomorrow is Veterans Day. I just re-introduced legislation to expand healthcare for veterans, and I’m fighting alongside veterans against the Trump administration’s cuts to VA jobs, healthcare, and food programs.
Thousands of veterans in every state use SNAP to put food on the table. Many of those folks have a disability and live with at least one child. Even more U.S. veterans are at risk of losing essential care and housing.
It’s not enough to thank our veterans with words; they deserve quality healthcare, secure housing, employment if able, and fully funded life-saving services.
So today, I’m lifting up an organization that supports female veterans experiencing homelessness or housing instability: All Things Women.
All Things Women supports veterans with dignified emergency shelter and transitional housing, as well as rapid assistance with stable housing. Can you chip in to fund this work?
This community-led nonprofit provides wrap-around services, including free healthy and nutritious food for families, job readiness assistance, free clothing and resources, and childcare support.
All Things Women also prioritizes mental health support—including trauma counseling and peer-to-peer support, where women veterans build community and trust, feeling seen and overcoming isolation.
Please donate today to support housing, food, healing, and jobs for women veterans.
All Things Women Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization, so your donation will be tax-deductible.
Disrupting cycles of poverty and inequity, All Things Women has successfully housed hundreds of formerly unhoused veterans into permanent housing.
Last year alone, they provided shelter and transitional housing for 76 families, and donated tens of thousands of diapers, clothing, and food items.
Every year, they also participate in a resource fair for around 120 women veterans in need, with on-the-spot screening and housing support, connections to community partners, and a peer-circle mini-session. Like the group’s longer-term services, these sessions help reduce isolation among women veterans.
More and more, we need groups like All Things Women to fill in the government’s gaps. The group was developed by local women of color who came together in response to a lack of programs and services serving their communities—which is so often the foundation of mutual aid programs.
All Things Women is a center for healing and empowerment that helps veterans and families survive and thrive. But they need our support: Their utility bill alone is $2,000 per month, and their shelter rent is $10,000 per month.
Please chip in whatever amount you can to support veterans in need.
Thank you for supporting our veterans. Together we’ll continue fighting back against Trump’s cruel cuts, and pushing for a government and country that treats veterans with the dignity they deserve.
In solidarity,
Rashida
