As an Air Force veteran, I know the sacrifices our service members and their families make. Their courage, discipline, and love of country represent the very best of America.

Today is a day to be grateful to all those who have served to protect our country. Thank you to our veterans who have put their lives aside to protect our country. From the Air Force to mayorship to the U.S. Capitol, I’ve always advocated for those who’ve worn our nation’s uniform.

On this Veterans Day, let’s not only offer our thanks — let’s recommit ourselves to supporting veterans year-round. That means ensuring access to quality healthcare, education, and good-paying jobs when they come home.

Today and every day, we must remember that honoring veterans means more than ceremonies; it means delivering on the promises made to those who served.
