This Veterans Day, I reflect on what it means to serve our country.
After graduating from college, I served 5 years of active duty in the U.S. military, which were some of the best years of my life. The military allowed me to sharpen my skills and inspired a lifetime of service.

Discipline, courage, and service aren’t just military values; they’re American values. In a time when our country is experiencing so much turmoil, we should remind ourselves of what unites us and work every day to ensure our actions reflect those values.
I keep those values at the core of the work that I do today, and I know those who are serving our country today do, too.
I’m proud to have served our country, and I’m proud to serve our veterans as Maryland’s Attorney General. I’ll continue showing up for them every single day.
I hope you and your family have a safe and restful Veterans Day.
Together,
