America will become unrecognizable unless we fight back.

Last night's Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength. Instead, what we saw was a betrayal of working Americans.

Wake up.

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say there's a revolution going on in this country. It's no longer about co-equal branches of government. It's no longer about the rule of law. It's about the rule of Don.

And I hope it dawns on people that unless we hold the line against Donald Trump, America will become unrecognizable.

Newsom on shutdown vote

I thought after last Tuesday's election we had woken up; that we had gotten the message from the American people that they want leaders who will fight back.

We've got a lot of work to do.
