There are 3 things you need to know about me:

1. When I was 10 years old, getting sworn in as a US citizen, I first took an oath to support our Constitution. I took it again as a diplomat standing up to dictators like Putin, and again serving New Jersey in the House of Representatives.
   
   

2. In the House, I fought for affordable health care, infrastructure, and jobs, while standing up for our common values. I took on corruption, and the harm Big Tech does to our democracy and our kids. I was the first swing district Democrat in America to call for Trump’s impeachment after he extorted Ukraine.
   
   

3. I’m running in the quick special election to fill Mikie Sherrill’s House seat, now that she’s been elected New Jersey governor. This will be the first and likely only special House election of 2026. It is the next race we have to win to turn the country around, and will set the table for next year’s midterms.

This will be a competitive race, and I need your help today, John. Will you split a donation of $ASK or anything you can between The Majority Rules and me today to help kickstart my campaign for Congress? 

Our democratic values are under renewed attack by an authoritarian President and his enablers every single day.

Our future depends on electing a Congress that will claw back its Constitutional powers and fulfill its Constitutional responsibilities — and that requires not just fewer Republicans, but more Democrats with the experience and inclination to fight. 

The fight ahead won’t be easy. But it starts here, in the first Congressional election of 2026, and likely the only special election before the midterms. Whoever wins will gain momentum going into November. The whole country will be watching the results.

This fight will set the tone for the rest of this presidency, and it begins now.
