Friend,

Last month, the Justice in Policing Act -- the most comprehensive police reform bill in our nation's history -- passed in the House. Now it's on its way to the Senate.
The bill is a comprehensive piece of legislation that pushes critical changes needed to bring accountability and transparency to police departments. Among other things, it bans chokeholds, bans no-knock search warrants in drug cases, and prevents qualified immunity from serving as a shield to liability.

This bill is extremely overdue -- it's critical that we pass it now.

While no single policy will undo centuries of systemic racism and oppression in our nation, the Justice in Policing Act is a necessary step in the right direction. The bill is a historic progression towards ensuring that the senseless and intentional taking of Black lives never happens again.

The Senate must act -- join me in standing up for racial justice and become a citizen co-sponsor of the Justice in Policing Act. >>> [[link removed]]
