Friend,

Today is Veterans Day. One of two special days throughout the year where we honor the courageous men and women who served our country to protect the freedoms that make this nation the greatest in the world.

But to be quite frank, we should honor our heroes as if every day were Veterans Day because this country would never have been the land of the free without the brave.

Tennessee has always answered the call to serve—from the Battle of New Orleans to the mountains of Afghanistan. Our veterans embody the Volunteer Spirit, showing courage, sacrifice, and love for this country that inspires us all.

As Governor, I will ensure Tennessee remains a state that stands shoulder to shoulder and hand in hand with our veterans. This means better access to healthcare, workforce opportunities, and the respect they’ve earned through their service.

To every veteran and military family, THANK YOU.

Your sacrifices made our way of life possible, and your example reminds us what true service looks like.

May God bless our veterans, their families, and the great state of Tennessee.
