Veterans Day began as Armistice Day, marking the end of World War I on
November 11, 1918. In 1954, it became the day we honor all who have worn our
nation’s uniform.



Today, we pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of our veterans. We enjoy
our freedoms today because of the generations of Americans that stood at arms
to defend them.



To every veteran and military family—thank you.
