John -- I need to talk to you about the senate race in Michigan.

My good friend Sen. Gary Peters is one of the most targeted Democrats in the Senate, and both Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight and CBS say his race will be decisive in the battle for the Senate Majority this November.

Michigan's pre-primary FEC filing deadline is in 48 hours, and Gary needs our help. If you are able, will you split a contribution between Gary's campaign and mine before the deadline?

Gary's Republican opponent has the full support of President Trump, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and special-interest groups like Betsy DeVos' super PAC. That support has led to a massive GOP fundraising machine and Gary's opponent outraised him for the fourth time in a row last quarter, bringing in $6.4 million.

Gary's opponent says he supports Trump, "2,000%." That means he stands with a president who:

Failed to respond to one of the worst health and economic crises our country has ever seen
Asked the Supreme Court to eliminate Obamacare and take away coverage from 23 million Americans
Rolled back 100 critical environmental protections

John, Gary has played a huge role in:

Responding to this health crisis and securing the critical resources health care providers need
Protecting health care, expanding it, and making it more affordable
Combating the effects of climate change and pollution and protecting our lands and waters

It couldn't be any more clear: We need Gary in the Senate. If you can, split a contribution between his campaign and mine before Gary's FEC deadline at midnight on Wednesday.

Thank you and all the best,

TC
