Veterans Day 2025

Good morning John xxxxxx,

Today, we pause as one nation to honor the brave men and women who have worn our country’s uniform with courage, devotion, and quiet resolve. As a U.S. Navy veteran, I know what it means to answer the call, to stand a watch, and to defend the freedoms that define the American spirit.

Veterans Day is a solemn reminder that liberty is safeguarded by sacrifice—by service members, by their families, and by all who support them. Here in Coastal Virginia, we are blessed to call so many veterans our neighbors, coworkers, mentors, and friends. Their continued service in our community strengthens our economy, our schools, and our civic life. We must never forget that we stand on the shoulders of those who served before us—and upon the backs of those who did not return.

As your State Senator, I am steadfast in my commitment to ensure our veterans receive the care, benefits, and opportunities they have earned—from strong military readiness and transition support to accessible healthcare, education, and employment. It is my honor to fight for you in Richmond, just as you have fought for all of us around the world.

On this Veterans Day, I offer my deepest thanks to every veteran and military family. Our debt is immeasurable, but our gratitude is unending. May we prove worthy of your sacrifice in how we live, lead, and serve one another.

Thank you for your service, and may God bless you, your families, and the United States of America.

Warm Regards,
