Friend, Could you spare a few minutes of your time for me to tell you a little about myself? I grew up working hard – baling hay, fixing fences, and learning the value of a dollar before I was old enough to drive. I was raised by a no-nonsense, single mother. She taught me faith, discipline, and that if you see something worth defending, you step up and fight. That’s what led me to join the Navy at 18. I didn’t come from privilege – I came from small-town America, where hard work and love of country still mean something. My time as a Navy SEAL taught me the true meaning of sacrifice and duty. I served our great nation for 26 years, completing five combat tours and earning multiple decorations for my service. But my time in the military also showed me the dangers of bureaucratic red tape and the importance of accountability in leadership. That's why I'm committed to taking on the tough fights in Washington and working tirelessly to ensure that our government is working for YOU, not against you. As a member of Congress, I've taken on the Swamp in Washington, fighting against wasteful spending, defending our Second Amendment rights, and working to secure our borders. But I didn't become a politician to make friends, I did it to make a difference. That's why I need your support today. The liberal elites and career politicians will stop at nothing to take me down and maintain the same old status quo. But with your help, we can build a grassroots movement that will shake the foundations of Washington! Together, we can fight for America First and build a brighter future for our children and grandchildren. Sincerely, Derrick Van Orden Retired Navy SEAL U.S. Congressman Grandpa USE OF MILITARY RANK, JOB TITLES AND PHOTOGRAPHS IN UNIFORM DOES NOT IMPLY ENDORSEMENT BY THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE OR ANY OF ITS BRANCHES.
