Dear John,

Every family has a story, passed down through photos, recipes, traditions... and sometimes, through heart disease.

This November, as we reflect on Family Health History Month and National Caregivers Month, we’re honoring the resilience passed from one generation to the next, and the ways that legacy shapes our health.

For many WomenHeart Champions, heart disease isn’t just a personal diagnosis. It’s part of a larger story:
📌 A grandmother who died too young, never knowing she had heart disease
📌 A sister who had a heart attack in her 40s, misdiagnosed for years
📌 A caregiver who put herself last until it was almost too late

These stories are powerful, not just because they connect us, but because they inform how we care for ourselves and one another.

This month, we invite you to:
❤️ Learn and share what you can about your family’s heart health, or your own health journey.
🗣️ Start a conversation about symptoms that might seem small
👩‍⚕️ Encourage the women in your life to speak up at their next appointment
👭 Support a caregiver in your life, or ask for help if you are one

When we understand our stories, whatever form they take, we can shape a healthier future.

Together, we’re building a community rooted in resilience — one that listens, learns, and lifts each other up.
