Last night, the Senate voted to end the government shutdown by slashing the ACA subsidies that help Wisconsin families pay for health care. They had a choice, and they chose wrong. I am furious about it.
WTF were they thinking?
I know what comes next because I’ve seen it happen. As a nurse, I held the hands of people who chose between medicine and rent. I watched preventable conditions get worse because care was out of reach. John, I’m angry and I refuse to stand by while politicians in Washington cut off care for Wisconsin families.
As Governor, I will fight relentlessly to restore ACA subsidies and protect our health care from cynical deals that harm families. But I can’t do it without you.
Will you add your name right now so I know you want me to keep fighting to restore those subsidies and defend care for every Wisconsin family?

This reckless, callous choice punishes families trying to stay healthy and make ends meet. That looks like higher premiums and out-of-pocket bills for parents already stretched thin. It means rural clinics facing more uncertainty and fewer resources. It results in a child’s routine checkup or a grandparent’s essential medication becoming unaffordable — because politicians treated health care like a bargaining chip.
If you’re as furious as I am, help build the pressure needed to restore these subsidies. Add your name and stand with families who deserve care >>>

Thank you for standing with me — for our kids, our parents, and for everyone who deserves to get the care they need.
Here for you always,
Sara
P.S. We need to turn outrage into action so hard-working Wisconsin families don’t pay the price for political games. Can you contribute $5 to help us organize and power our fight?
