Last night, seven Senate Democrats broke with the party and supported the Republican plan to re-open the government. This comes after weeks of fighting to protect healthcare subsidies whose fate is now in limbo. The move could result in healthcare premiums significantly rising for some 20 million Americans! While some may be relieved to see a deal in reach, many others are outraged and disappointed with the lack of unity.
