John, I’d like to introduce you to Renee Hardman, the Democratic candidate for December 30th’s special election in Senate District 16. |
Renee will be a true fighter for Iowans. She has a proven track record of service, leadership, and hard work. As the CEO of Lutheran Services in Iowa, one of the largest nonprofits in our state which serves all 99 counties, Renee understands all too well the struggle that everyday Iowans are facing and knows that they deserve a leader who is ready to stand up for them.
She has also served two terms on the West Des Moines City Council and currently serves as Mayor Pro Tem. Through this role she has demonstrated an ability to work with her colleagues to better the lives of her constituents regardless of their political background - a trait she will undoubtedly bring with her to the Iowa Senate. Renee is a fantastic candidate, but she won’t be able to win this election alone. As we begin to recruit volunteers and raise money to ensure her win, we’d love to have you on the team. There are several ways to get involved: 🔵 You can check out Renee’s website to learn more about her and her platform. |
🔵 Follow Renee on Facebook (Hardman for Iowa) or @HardmanforIowa on X to keep up with the latest on her campaign: |

We will continue to update you as the campaign launches in earnest. Any support you may be able to provide will go a long way in helping us elect a new champion for SD-16. Onward, Janice Weiner |
