ATTENTION: THIS IS THE FIRST OF THREE TACTICAL BRIEFINGS ON THE SUBJECT OF OUR IMMINENT REBELLION

Radicals and rebels, redeemers and reclaimers,

Under the silver luster of the Full Corn Moon, the wolves will howl.

They will cry out in the illuminated night. They will cry till the break of day. They will cry for the coming of new light.

On September 13th, the wolves' cries will incite the Full Moon Rebellion.

The Full Moon Rebellion is a final declaration of our collective frustration — an absolute rejection of (ir)responsible parties and their failure to act on:

• the impending suicide of our species due to the environment's nearing unsuitability for our survival;
• said parties' refusal to acknowledge the existential severity of the above.

We are facing the abyss. The planet can suffer little more before our doom is ensured. Yet, like patients perilously choosing to ignore a terminal diagnosis, we go on as we always have: blithely deferring today's problems till tomorrow, reassuring ourselves that we have done enough to sleep soundly through the night.

But the problem is that there is no tomorrow. Now is not the time to dawdle — now is not the time to sleep. Action must be taken immediately before the course of our destruction may no longer be diverted

As we peer into the abyss — and as nothing substantive is being done to stave off that abyss — we must take it upon ourselves to make our case plain. In the words of one Martin Luther King, Jr., "One has a moral responsibility to disobey" when faced with injustice.

Inaction is injustice. So, disobey we will.

This is not your everyday protest. The urgency of today's ills demand strategies that transcend the expected, the usual, the habitual — all that has become ineffectual.

The Full Moon Rebellion represents a radical new form of dissent: protest, guerrilla style.

This new form of non-violent disobedience is modeled on the organization of wolves on the hunt: united by the pack, but discrete in individual pursuit.

On September 13th, the revolutionary wolves will unleash a billion acts of disobedience upon a warming, sleeping world.

And when the sun rises, we all will wake to a future transformed by these nocturnal transgressions. Then, we will prowl again in solidarity with the Global Climate Strike (September 20–27) and again with the Worldwide Rebellion (October 7–18), when Extinction Rebellion groups across the world will rise up in the name of life on earth.

This is the nature of the Full Moon Rebellion.
