Here’s an update from our campaign:
Democrats Lurch to the Left
Tuesday, we saw the far left solidify control over key Democrat offices nationwide.
Virginia AG Candidate Jay Jones who faced controversy regarding leaked text messages ([link removed]) , won his race with 50.9% ([link removed]) of the vote. Jones’s texts called for the deaths ([link removed]) of his political opponents, including children. Democrats nationwide refused ([link removed]) to end their support for Jay Jones following this revelation.
In New York City, self-professed ([link removed]) Socialist Zohran Mamdani won the mayoral election with 50.5% ([link removed](2025)) of the vote. Mamdani is now a key leader in the Democrat party and will run one of the most important Democrat strongholds in the country.

Mamdani has a record of advocating for socialist and communist policies. He is also a member of the Democrat Socialists of America.
Here are a few of the radical policies advanced by Mamdani:
* He advocates for government-run grocery stores ([link removed])
* He has refused to criticize “globalize the intifada ([link removed]) ”
* He has called for “seizing the means of production ([link removed]) ”
* He has quoted ([link removed]) some of Karl Marx’s most well known writings. Karl Marx is the father of the communist movement.
* He has called for increasing taxes by $10 billion ([link removed])
Democrats in DC ([link removed]) and Wisconsin ([link removed]) have supported Mamdani and are caving to the far Left. This includes ([link removed]) House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

Mamdani ran as a member of both the Democrat and the Working Families Party (WFP). The WFP’s mission ([link removed]) is to push Democrats even further to the Left. The WFP ([link removed]) and George Soros ([link removed]) helped Mamdani win his recent election. They could do something similar here in Wisconsin.
In our race for WI-01, Randy Bryce, a radical Democrat, is also a member ([link removed]) of the Working Families Party. Bryce has called for defunding federal law enforcement ([link removed]) and referred to ICE agents as Nazi “brownshirts ([link removed]) ”.
We already know that the Left is targeting ([link removed]) our seat. But our team is already on the ground, working every day to beat back their attacks and win in 2026.
End of Shutdown Within Reach
After more than a month, eight ([link removed]) Senate Democrats broke with party leadership and took the first step to reopen the government.
As early as this evening, the Senate could pass a clean CR. This CR would extend funding through January 2026. Following a successful Senate vote, the House will reconvene and again pass a clean CR.
This shutdown was an unnecessary act of partisanship by Democrats in the Senate and House. I am working to end the potential for shutdowns permanently.
This year, I joined Senator Ron Johnson in introducing the Eliminate Government Shutdowns Act ([link removed]) . Under our bill, if Congress has not voted to fund the government, a clean two-week CR would be put in place. Congress could then finalize appropriations for the next fiscal year.
Wisconsin uses a similar process for the state budget. This is why Wisconsin does not shut down.
