Most mornings, I wake up and refresh our ActBlue dashboard to see if we’re on track to meet our fundraising goals. Because of supporters like you, we’ve been able to meet every goal so far. But, it’s not just about dollars, it’s about the number of donations themselves — and so far, we’ve brought slightly fewer this month than we did at this point in June.

Now, this isn’t my first campaign so I knew July would be a tough month to fundraise. But I also know we have something working in our favor — momentum.

Our campaign has a lot of momentum right now. A new poll has us ahead in this toss-up race and our opponent is growing more unpopular by the minute according to some surveys.

The last thing we can afford right now is a shortfall that would give Mitch McConnell’s donor network a chance to overwhelm Cal with attack.
