John, we’re about to ask you to chip in $5 to Sarah’s grassroots campaign. But first, we wanted to give you a few facts about this battleground race:

1. IA-03 will determine if Democrats can take back our Democratic House Majority. Republicans have the slimmest majority in decades, which means we need to take every opportunity to flip red-to-blue races like this one.
    
2. Zach Nunn isn’t showing up for Iowans and is refusing to hold town halls. Iowans are fed up with politics-as-usual, which means the more we can spread Sarah’s message, the more voters we’ll win over. 
    
3. After Trump endorsed Zach Nunn, National Republicans and outside groups started funneling huge sums of money into IA-03. We can only keep up with a lot of grassroots supporters standing with us.
    
4. We’re heading into the holiday slump, and we need to show we have the momentum on our side heading into 2026. Republicans will jump at any chance to drown out Sarah’s message. November and December are notoriously difficult for online fundraising, but if we show any sign of vulnerability, we could lose our momentum when we need it most.
    
5. Sarah set an ambitious goal to raise $10,000 from emails like these this month so she can build the campaign she needs to win. We need as many people as possible to join this growing movement, and for most folks, the best place to start is with a $5 or $10 contribution.
