Team, let me be blunt: what we’re seeing right now is complete dysfunction in Washington — and people across the country are paying the price.
After a 41-day government shutdown that left families hungry, workers furloughed, and planes grounded, Republicans are still refusing to serve the people that elected them.
They’re letting Affordable Care Act credits expire — and the results will be devastating. Here in Massachusetts, 337,000 residents will see their health premiums skyrocket in January. Some will pay up to $25,000 more next year.
That’s not just a number on a spreadsheet. Those are families, retirees, small business owners, who now have to decide between paying for health care or paying their bills.
I’m committed to protecting the people of Massachusetts and keeping our state moving forward even when Washington moves backwards. Today, I’m asking you to join me in demanding action:
Thank you,
Maura
