Let me be clear: Chuck Schumer’s “deal” coming out of the Senate is absolutely pathetic. I will be voting no this week and I want to explain why.

Once again, Schumer and a handful of Senate Democrats surrendered when we needed them to fight.

I genuinely do not understand what they are thinking - what was the point of holding out if absolutely nothing gets done on the healthcare crisis? Premiums are going to skyrocket for millions of Americans and Democrats are just folding?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Democrats need to grow a backbone and actually push back — not give up every time we have a little bit of leverage.

I’m very frustrated, and I think all of us should be. This healthcare crisis isn’t going away, and I refuse to pretend like Republicans are magically going to fix it on their own.
