We blocked Republican redistricting for now, but we can't stop fighting back.

John, it's House Democratic Leader Brandon Woodard, reaching out because we defeated the Republican redistricting scheme!

Trump and leaders in D.C. wanted to silence our voices in Congress by having the Republican supermajority in our state legislature call a special session to redraw our maps.

They voted to approve wasting nearly half a million taxpayer dollars to cheat the traditional system and choose their own voters so they can win during the midterms—but when it came time to have the session, a bipartisan coalition blocked it from happening.

John, this is what happens when legislators put people before politics.

But, we can't stop the work just yet—Republicans already have plans to pick this back up during the regular session in January.

John, as long as Trump is in office, he'll continue to pressure states like Kansas to put him before the people. That's why it's critical we continue electing Democrats up and down the ballot—and that starts with year-round organizing. Will you chip in today to help the Kansas Democrats recruit candidates, train community leaders, and fight back this winter?

Thank you,

House Democratic Leader
