I filed a motion in our lawsuit against Trump’s USDA to stop their outrageous order demanding that states undo the steps we’ve taken to provide full SNAP benefits.
Let’s be 100% clear: We took those steps to provide full benefits in accordance with the USDA’s own guidance — and a court order.
The Trump administration is putting out contradictory guidance, working relentlessly to undermine SNAP, and creating whiplash, chaos, confusion — not just for the states administering benefits but for the tens of millions of Americans who are living in limbo, unable to afford groceries and put food on the table.
Now, the USDA wants us to claw back benefits provided to SNAP recipients who had been waiting for them.
The federal administration even issued public threats against states that have issued full benefits. But look, if Trump is looking for someone to admonish, he should take a good hard look in the mirror.
Every one of us should be outraged that the billionaire sitting in the White House would go to such extreme lengths to prevent hungry Americans from getting food.
We’ve stood up to them before, and we’re not backing down now. So today, we’re back in court to take on Trump and his USDA — and I’m asking for your support.
