You’ve probably heard the news by now: The Senate just rammed through a shutdown bill with no extension of Affordable Care Act tax credits.

The GOP’s promise? They swear they’ll hold a vote on those ACA credits in December. Not even a promise to pass them — just a pinky promise to hold a vote.

This is a surrender. There’s no other way to describe it. After last week’s elections, we had Republicans on the ropes. They were desperate for a deal! Instead, this bill essentially gave Republicans everything they wanted — all in exchange for a promise we know they won’t keep.

I want you to hear me on this: When this bill comes to the House, I’m voting HELL. NO.

You’re furious, I’m furious, really, every Democrat is enraged right now — and rightly so. Far too many of us are still playing by the politics as usual playbook, with the misguided belief that Republicans will just… throw us a bone in December? After everything they’ve done to rip the Constitution to shreds?

Democrats can’t be the party of pleasantries and politeness anymore. We have to fight fire with fire. If you’re with me, will you chip in to help me hold this seat and continue to hold Republicans accountable? [[link removed]]
