| Friends, I’m reaching out to share my decision:
I’ll be voting ‘NO’ on the Republican proposal introduced last night.
I’ve cast eight votes to reopen our government. But I refuse to cast a vote that will hurt the people of Maryland. By ignoring the health care crisis and failing to address rising costs, this continuing resolution does just that.
Let’s be clear: The first 11 months of this Administration have been disastrous for Marylanders. Energy costs are soaring, grocery prices remain high, and families are struggling to make ends meet. Patriotic civil servants were fired after years of dedicated service to our country. Chaotic tariffs are wreaking havoc on our economy.
After all that, Republicans put forth a proposal last night that does absolutely nothing to make health care affordable.
So, my answer is no. I won’t betray my oath to our civil servants, veterans, seniors, business owners, and working families.
I was elected to fight for your interests and protect your freedoms. That’s why I won't stop fighting back against this Administration's efforts to hurt Marylanders.
We’ll stand firm, and we’ll stand together.
Yours,
Angela Alsobrooks
