It’s no secret that progressives are outnumbered on social media — especially on Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook, which has become a minefield of dangerous, right-wing conspiracies that spread like wildfire with no accountability.

Just look at these numbers from New York Times tech reporter Kevin Roose last week: We were the only progressive page in the top 10 performing posts on all of Facebook.

The rest? Right-wing pages spouting pro-Trump propaganda, spreading hate, and promoting dangerous misinformation about COVID-19.

This is what we’re up against in November: a far-reaching, unaccountable social network that’s willing to say anything to get Donald Trump reelected.

As the only progressive page with a comparable reach, we need to be everywhere — doing more than we ever have to counter the onslaught of right-wing lies and spread the truth.
